Enhance your skills when issuing, adjusting and reviewing foot orthoses
Mobilis are proud to announce the new Formthotic System Course. This workshop is ideal for professionals who are currently using foot orthoses, and want to learn new techniques for assessing foot function and validating orthotic treatments.
The Formthotic System considers Foot Orthoses to be a means of “improving the function of the foot and leg” rather than “corrective devices for treating anatomical deformities”.
The Formthotic System is an extension of the current biomechanics model; it is made up of 6 Tests™ relating to joint function, subtalar axis alignment, the function of the windlass mechanism and neuromusculoskeletal function.
These 6 tests™ will allow you to have greater confidence when issuing orthoses:
- Become more familiar with theoretical concepts of foot and leg function.
- Learn and practice the diagnostic method called The 6 Tests™.
- Learn and practice the use of The 6 Tests™ in fitting and modifying Foot Orthoses (Formthotics® and Express®) to improve foot and leg function.
- Develop the confidence to use Foot Orthoses in conjunction with the other therapeutic modalities they already use.
- Assist in helping the patient understand their treatment, as patient’s consistently desire more information about the treatment they are receiving.
Continuing Professional Development Points
The course offers the delegates six hours of practical workshop time and a certificate to add to their portfolio. We also offer further CPD hours and certificates in follow up evaluations and case studies allowing the delegate to add applied learning to their portfolio.
Follow up
Following the course the delegate will have video clips of all the tests, posters and other practical elements to use within their clinics. They will also become part of the Formthotic System community where they will be able to ask questions to the speakers and other authorities on the subject around the world.
Course Dates
Course dates are now available for the Formthotic System course throughout the UK.
Mobilis Performance
To compliment the Formthotics courses Mobilis Performance has developed three one-day courses to teach you about the application of biomechanics in the wider context of the whole body. Each day delivers a different level of understanding in the process and looks at biomechanical screening of the spine and peripheral joints and then teach you exercises to manage any problems that exist in your athletes or clients or patients.
This information can be applied to injury prevention, optimal performance for all sports, exercise prescription and back pain management.
The courses are aimed at sports coaches, personal trainers, all therapists, occupational health nurses, strength and conditioning coaches, sports therapists, sports massage therapists, complimentary therapists, P.E teachers.
